Finding a therapist can be like the search for the Holy Grail: ranging from those who are all too willing to tell you what you are ‘not’ as opposed to what you ‘are’, to those who will not tell you anything. I was thankful that my interactions with Adam provided a platform for both relaxed conversation and rejuvenating contemplation. This enabled greater personal awareness of not only who I am but why I am here.

I’m a foreigner living in Singapore, married with no children. I did some sessions with Adam to help me at a time of setback, doubt and transition. Adam was always welcoming, made himself vailable as often as needed, had an open mind without judgement or societal structures that can sometimes limit perspective. He’s a patient, engaged listener, but also a connector of dots noticing details that formed a pattern, helping me see the bigger picture and also different approaches and resources to help unravel personal and interpersonal challenges. The experience was extremely helpful to reframe my mindset and uplift my worldview, and I play back many of the learnings and reflections to help navigate life.

I’m a proud father of two in my mid 40s, and over the past couple of years I’ve faced some unexpected changes in family dynamics that brought significant physical, emotional and mental challenges. At the time, I wasn’t sure where to turn or how best to cope. I was introduced to Adam around six months ago while visiting Singapore, and since then I’ve continued to speak with him regularly. I have found his sessions to be extremely helpful, reassuring and practical.

He has provided me with supportive space to better understand myself. Adam is an excellent listener and his knowledge and advice is always practical. After every session, I’ve come away with clear things to work on, and the simple techniques he suggests have made a genuinely big impact on my day to day life. I feel very comfortable speaking with him, at times I almost forget he is my therapist and instead feel like I am talking to a trusted friend. Despite this relaxed approach, he always maintains a high level of professionalism and allows sessions to be as formal or informal as you need. I am very grateful for the time he has invested in helping me and for helping me understand how important the therapist–client relationship is in achieving positive outcomes.

I would strongly recommend speaking with Adam. Something that may feel complicated or overwhelming can sometimes begin to improve simply by talking to the right person.

I originally started working with Adam because I felt an immense amount of mental pressure, like my head was going to explode from everything building up. I was constantly being bombarded by different situations, and it was starting to take its toll.

My mood was low, I was seeing everything through a negative lens, and it was affecting both my work and personal life. I knew what was going on, but I felt like I was losing control. Adam helped me reframe situations, gave me practical “homework,” and most importantly, provided a safe space where I could talk openly, without fear of judgement. It was the kind of blokey, real conversation I didn’t feel I could have elsewhere with mates or, given how small Singapore is.

Being able to share my history and get things off my chest immediately lifted a huge amount of that pressure.

When we reflect on where I was back then compared to now, it’s given me a real sense of perspective and confidence. Things I used to brush off as minor, I can now see are actually pretty significant achievements.

I feel calmer, less reactive, and much better at seeing things from different perspectives. That’s made me more patient, not just with others, but with myself too.

If I’m honest, I used to think therapy was a bit “woo-woo” or for the weak-minded. Honestly, I couldn’t have been more wrong. The difference in how I feel now speaks for itself.

I can’t recommend Adam highly enough.

I am a 45 year old man and have been working in shipping for just under two decades. I realised in the last year that life had become increasingly taxing and something about my day to day mindset felt off- kilter. I wanted to address this issue with a professional and Adam provided a calm and patient space for me to air my thoughts. It was easy for him to relate to my situation given his own experiences in high pressure trading environments. There was no judgement during sessions and the honesty was refreshing. He helped me identify patterns in behaviour which I took to be common place but actually were leading to fatigue (both physical and mental) in the long run. He followed up by explaining some strategy and techniques to help move away from these damaging cycles.

I feel he has been present in my improvement since day one and we’ve been working together for several months now. I found his approach to our discussions to be relaxed and informative leaning more towards suggestion (admittedly firmer at times) rather than imposition. He continues to help me navigate my mid 40s and for any men looking for some fresh perspective into how mindset and behavioural patterns can be improved I would recommend a chat with Adam.
